General Info

Located at Av. de Juan Antonio Samaranch, 76, local 5, Hortaleza, 28055 Madrid, Spain, Restaurante Maison Umami offers a refreshing take on Asian cuisine in a welcoming and contemporary setting. From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere felt relaxed yet refined, making it an appealing choice for both casual dining and special evenings with friends or family.

One of the first things that stands out about this Asian restaurant is the variety on the menu. The selection showcases a mix of flavors and textures that create a memorable dining experience. Among the standout dishes, the Pad Thai delivers a satisfying balance of savory and fresh notes, while the Tartar de Atún brings a lighter option that highlights quality ingredients and careful preparation. For those looking for something heartier, the Con Carne de Cerdo offers rich flavors that fit perfectly within the restaurant’s culinary style.

The dining experience goes beyond the main courses. During my visit, I also had the opportunity to try the Huevo de Chocolate Blanco, a dessert that adds a creative and indulgent finish to the meal. Paired with the Pink Lady, one of the restaurant’s notable drinks, the combination felt well thought out and complemented the menu beautifully.

Another aspect that makes Restaurante Maison Umami appealing is its focus on guest comfort and convenience. The restaurant provides a comfortable dine-in experience and welcomes groups, making it suitable for celebrations, gatherings, or business dinners. Since the venue can become popular during peak dining hours, dinner reservations are recommended to ensure a smooth visit.

Guests will also appreciate practical services such as debit card payments, helping make the overall experience seamless. In addition, the availability of hard liquor contributes to a more complete dining offering for those who enjoy pairing drinks with their meal.

Based on my experience, Restaurante Maison Umami successfully combines flavorful Asian dishes, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Its location in Hortaleza adds to its appeal, making it a noteworthy destination for diners exploring restaurant options in Madrid. Whether browsing reviews, checking menu highlights, or searching for interesting dining locations, this restaurant presents a balanced experience centered around quality food and enjoyable moments shared around the table.

What customers say?

“ We expected more for that money. 1. Soup tom yam was very delicious. We really liked it. 2. Dim sums were very delicious. We really liked it. 3. Sushi rolls were delicious and big portion. We really liked it. 3. Wok noodles with beef were disgusting. Almost only noodles with very very small piece of meet. Taking into account how much it costs, it was terrible. The question to chief cook, how did you manage to cook wok like that? I know what it should be like, but it shouldn’t be like it was 4. There is no any own drinks like lemonade, cocktail and so on. You can have only standard refreshing beverages like sprite, cola, beer e.t.c and standard branded alcohol. The restaurant with a good potential, but should improve some things. ”

“ We had a fantastic lunch experience in this fusion concept restaurant in Valdebebas. We shared everything and tried a number of different tastes. The atmosphere and decorations are very cool and the staff are very knowledgeable and explained everything with great recommendations. We will definitely return ”

“ The first time I came to Maison Umami I left amazed. This is a great place to come and great food, great time with friends or family. To start off, initially we ordered the gyozas de pato with boletus and foie salsa pekin and they are definitely worth it, in fact, very few restaurants i’ve been to have this good of gyozas. We have also tried the popcorn langostinos( delicious) and the vegetable rolls( not in the menu, but they have them ) For the main meal, a must try would be the Pad Thai, i consider this their best ( I am still yet to try other dishes) If you want some meat, you could try the Picaña de Ternera which has such a great taste, or the Chow Mian ( this one was a bit strong taste for me, but you could ask them to make it moderate seasoning). If you want to try an amazing Duck, here is the place, the Pato Crocante is just the right dish to combine with any other dish, the Arroz Frito y a great option and awesome to share with more than one person. So unfortunately I have not chosen to have desert here each time I come, I do get pretty full sharing all their good dishes, but I did tried the Nemelaka, which I shared. It was definitely a very rich dense desert, not very big, but I do t think you need a big portion of this dessert. If you are a chocolate fan, this is a good choice. Im not a fan of chocolate nonetheless I think was a great dessert. ”
